History

Impact Church (formerly Faith Christian Center) was founded in August 18, 1996 by Bishop Keith A. Butler, Founder of Word of Faith International Christian Center (WOFICC). We are a part of the WOFICC vision to open Word-based ministries throughout the United States and abroad.

George L. Davis was serving as an Assistant Pastor at WOFICC when he was called by God and appointed by Bishop Butler to open and pastor the Jacksonville, Florida church. Impact Church began as a small church at 7500 Merrill Road with a small contingent of 12 adults who voluntarily moved from Detroit, MI to Jacksonville, FL to assist George and April with spreading the good news of Jesus across seven cities in Florida, which we called “Impact 7.” That vision has since been expanded to include Valdosta, Georgia, Norfolk, Virginia, the DMV area and Piura, Peru; leading us to what is now called “Impact 7 & Beyond” (I7B).  More churches are still to come in other states as God continues to reveal His plan.

The church soon added multiple services outgrowing the initial facility, and began holding services at Landmark Middle School. We later purchased and renovated a former grocery store while constructing our current 70,000 square foot facility.

Impact Church is a non-denominational church with heavy emphasis on solid biblical teaching and practical everyday application. Our purpose is to meet the needs of the entire family with ministry of God’s Word and activities specifically designed for all men, women, youth and children. We offer Small Groups for every interest, special activities and outings for the young and the young at heart. The mission of IC-Jax is to reach and mature those who don’t know Christ through international and community evangelism, prison ministry and campus meetings.

Impact Church has been blessed to host such dynamic and anointed speakers as our Grand-Bishop Keith A. Butler, Marilyn Hickey, Rev. Jesse Duplantis, Dr. Don Colbert, Dr. Creflo Dollar, Bill Winston, Mark Hankins, Dr. Myles Monroe, Dr.  and many others.

IC-Jax offers dynamic Sunday morning and Thursday evening services. These services are held in current location at 8985 Lone Star Road.
